Director Mathimaran Pugazhendhi's film Mandaadi, starring Soori and Suhas in the lead roles, continues its successful run at the box office. On Friday, the film's producer Elred Kumar's RS Infotainment banner revealed that it has earned 125 crore from theatres worldwide. The Mandaadi box office collection was updated to the latest figures only four days after the production banner announced that the film has grossed 100 crore at the box office.

Making the announcement, RS Infotainment wrote, "#Mandaadi Thiruvizha Continues! The #Mandaadi Blockbuster continues its unstoppable reign at the Box Office! Grossed ₹125+ Crores Worldwide! The #Mandaadi Vagaiyara celebrations is getting bigger day by day #BlockbusterMandaadi in Running Successfully in Theatres."

Earlier, it became the highest-grossing film starring Soori in the actor's career as a lead hero. With the film, Soori has further reinforced his status as lead actor with greater commercial appeal than before, leaving behind his days in side roles for comic relief.

Besides general audiences and critics, even industry doyens such as Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have expressed their appreciation for the film. Soori has revealed that Rajinikanth loved the film and expressed the same to him through a phone call. "His heartfelt call means the world to me and our entire team," Soori said. On the other hand, Kamal attended a special screening for the film and made a special note of its writing, especially the dialogues.

Even as Mandaadi continues its dream run at the box office, Soori is gearing up for the release of his next film. Titled Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, the film is directed by Ram and also stars Nivin Pauly and Anjali in important roles. It is slated for an October 01 release in theatres.
