Director Gautam Vasudev Menon's long-delayed film Dhruva Natchathiram, starring Vikram, might hit theatres soon. According to the latest information from The Hindu, Gautam has told Madras High Court that he has found an investor in order to facilitate his film's release ahead of October 31, Saturday. Subsequently, High Court judge Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy has advised the filmmaker to present documents proving that an amount of 10.57 crore has been paid to Vikram in front of the observers or overseers appointed by the court.

Recently, Gautam Vasudev Menon's production banner Kondaduvom Entertainment submitted an application seeking more time for Dhruva Natchathiram's release, and justice Senthilkumar approved his petition while allowing him time up to October 31 for the same.

Earlier this year, the high court justice had given him up to June 15 to ensure the film's release, giving him more time to settle his dues with investors. However, he could not ensure the release by then, partly due to the release of several prominent films back then, and approached the court multiple times for extensions of time for it.

Now, the release depends on clearance of his investor by the observers or overseers, namely HV Hredai and MV Swaroop. Meanwhile, the two submitted a report at the court demanding some clarifications regarding the film. Hredai asked the court whether 10.57 crore was debited to Vikram. Looking at the documents, the judge cited a lack of confirmation regarding the amount that has reportedly been paid to Vikram. As a result, the filmmaker has been asked to submit the aforementioned documents substantiating the payment and its mode.

The observers or overseers are also expected to look at the reasons mentioned for Gautam asking for release time extension before arriving at a final decision.
