Actor Karunaas has been in the film industry for 25 years. The actor who shot to fame with Nandhaa (2001), will next be seen headlining Enna Vilai, along with Nimisha Sajayan.

In an interview with CE, the actor spoke about his views on being an artist. "My advise to all artists, including my son (actor-director Ken Karunaas), is this: You shouldn't wish to present yourself as a wise and intelligent person. You are an entertainer and you work for the people. They pay to watch you, an entertainer, to entertain them," said the actor.

He added, "So all that matters is giving them their money's worth. Since, this also has a responsibility to the larger strata of people, we can add a small (statement) for the people."

In 2026 the actor was seen in Salliyargal, Kara, Nooru Saami, and Gatta Kusthi 2. His upcoming film Enna Vilai is set to open in theatres on September 17. Sajeev Pazhoor, who has penned films like Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum (2017), is making his directorial debut with Enna Vilai.
