On Saturday, we reported about Vijay paying a visit to Ajith Kumar ahead of his race at the Silverstone circuit in England. Since then, the internet has been flooded with images and videos showing the special camaraderie between two of the biggest superstars in Indian cinema. Several netizens expressed their wish to have footage of Vijay embracing Ajith during his visit at the circuit integrated into the documentary, Gladiators, based on the latter's racing career.

According to them, the said integration would provide fans with an opportunity to see Vijay and Ajith together once again on the big screen, considering the fact that the former quit cinema for politics. The two appeared together the last time in 1995's Rajavin Parvaiyile.

While Vijay quit cinema for a career in politics and became the chief minister of Tamil Nadu after his debut in the legislative elections, Ajith has been busy with his racing commitments since the release of his film Good Bad Ugly.

Fans have embraced their latest reunion and highlighted their years-long bond, despite the hatred between sections of their fan bases. Notably, Vijay visited Ajith after the passing of his mother recently.

Meanwhile, composer GV Prakash, who has worked on multiple Ajith films, including his last Good Bad Ugly and his upcoming documentary, Gladiators, spoke about his meeting with Vijay. Taking to social media, GV Prakash shared a still featuring the two and wrote, "Blessed to have worked with both the biggest icons."

Even the commentators expressed their excitement at having Vijay and Ajith for the event, which is part of the Michelin Le Mans Cup. For viewers unfamiliar to Vijay and Ajith Kumar, one of them said that their popularity in India equals that of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.
