Soori’s Mandaadi has pulled off a significant turnaround on its first Friday, with the film recording a sharp jump from its opening-day figures and widening its lead over Karthi’s Sardar 2. The sports drama, which had already led the domestic race on Thursday, has now strengthened its position with a strong second-day surge.

The film has grossed Rs 15.85 crore worldwide after two days, including Rs 13.35 crore from India and Rs 2.50 crore from overseas. Its India net collection stands at Rs 11.40 crore. On Friday alone, Mandaadi grossed Rs 7.65 crore in India from 2,864 shows, recording an overall occupancy of 44.9%.

Tamil Nadu continued to be the film's biggest contributor, with the second day bringing in Rs 5.50 crore from the state. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs 1.25 crore, Karnataka Rs 65 lakh, Kerala Rs 20 lakh and the rest of India Rs 5 lakh. The film's Day 2 India net collection stood at Rs 6.55 crore, taking its two-day net total to Rs 11.40 crore.

The Friday numbers have also dramatically changed the equation between Mandaadi and Sardar 2. While Soori's film rose from Rs 5.70 crore on Thursday to Rs 7.65 crore on Friday, Karthi's film dropped from Rs 5.30 crore to Rs 2.85 crore. As a result, Mandaadi's two-day India gross of Rs 13.35 crore is now Rs 5.20 crore ahead of Sardar 2, which stands at Rs 8.15 crore.

The worldwide gap has also widened, despite both films collecting an identical Rs 2.50 crore from overseas markets across their first two days. Mandaadi has reached Rs 15.85 crore globally, while Sardar 2 has grossed Rs 10.65 crore, giving Soori's film a Rs 5.20 crore advantage.

Helmed by Mathimaran Pugazhendi, Mandaadi also stars Suhas, Mahima Nambiar, Mithun Jai Shankar, Sathyaraj, Balasaravanan and Krish Hassan, among others. Elred Kumar has produced the film under his RS Infortainment banner. He has also written for the film along with R Mohanavasanthan and Thiral Sankar.
