A dinner that brought together two very different worlds of Indian celebrity culture has turned into a heartwarming friendship moment. Olympic medallist and badminton player PV Sindhu and her husband Venkata Datta Sai recently spent an evening with actor Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan in Chennai. While pictures from their get-together offered a glimpse into the intimate evening, it was Sindhu’s note afterwards that caught attention.

Sharing photographs from the gathering on Instagram, Sindhu described the evening as one filled with good food, candid conversations and laughter. She reflected on how certain meetings can unexpectedly change the equation between people, saying that they had walked in as friends but left feeling as though they had known each other for much longer. She also revealed that Chennai already feels like home to her, thanks to a close family connection in the city.

But the badminton champion seemingly left with one more reason to feel at home in Chennai. Addressing Nayanthara and Vignesh, Sindhu wrote that after the dinner, it felt like she had “a little more family waiting” for her in the city, calling the couple “all heart”. Nayanthara responded to the post with “Love n onlyyyy love for u guys”, while Vignesh also returned the affection, writing that they would always have lots of love for the couple.

On the work front, Nayanthara was recently seen in Hi in Tamil and Toxic in Kannada. Up next, she has a long list of films in various languages in her kitty, including Dear Students, NBK 111, Mannangatti Since 1960, Patriot, Mookuthi Amman 2, and Rakkayie. Vignesh Shivan, on the other hand, recently produced Hi with Nayanthara and wrote lyrics for a few songs in the Tamil version of Toxic. He is yet to announce his next directorial.
