Mammootty is coming back to Tamil cinema after 2019's Peranbu with Om, co-starring Dhanush and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy of Amaran fame. The upcoming film is produced by Dhanush himself under the Wunderbar Films banner, alongside Shraddha Agarwal and Azmat Jagmag of R Take Studios. On Saturday, the film's makers announced that its next video, which will introduce Mammootty's character and is titled 'Siya Entry,' will drop on September 07, coinciding with the actor's birthday.

The film stars Mammootty as Karthikeyan, and the term 'Siya' is associated with his character's persona. It is worth noting that the first song from Om, titled 'Alaakaa Loova,' features the text 'Therikkuthu Siya Entry' and Mammootty in a passing shot, hinting at an explosive introductory sequence for his character.

Sharing the news on social media, Wunderbar Films wrote in the caption, "Big M arrives on 7th September. Siya Entry awaits, from the world of #OM!" Quote-tweeting the post, director Rajkumar Periasamy expressed his excitement for the mega star's introductory moment from the upcoming film. The filmmaker said that he is also waiting in anticipation of the video, similar to the actor's fans around the world.

Om marks the first collaboration between Mammootty and Dhanush in Tamil cinema. It brings them back together after Proprietors: Kammath and Kammath, where Dhanush played a brief cameo role in his Malayalam debut. The upcoming film also stars Sai Pallavi, Sreeleela, Naseeruddin Shah, and Indrans. The film has music by Sai Abhyankkar, cinematography by Ezhil Arasu, editing by R Kalaivanan, production design by Rajeevan, art direction by A Pannerselvam, action choreography by Yannick Ben, and dance choreography by Sandy Master.

Om is slated for an October 16 release in theatres worldwide.
