Actor Malavika Mohanan is gearing up for the September 10 release of Sardar 2, directed by PS Mithran and co-starring Karthi. She is among the few notable cast additions to the Sardar franchise, in addition to SJ Suryah and Ashika Ranganath.

Ahead of its release, the actor interacted with fans on her Instagram and responded to some of their questions on Thursday. One fan asked Malavika when she would do an action film next, and the actor responded by saying that Sardar 2 is just that kind of film. "I have done a very very action-oriented role in Sardar 2. I have done some crazy stunt sequences and pushed myself to do a lot of things I was really scared to do, because I have never done it before," Malavika said. "But I love doing stunts. It's a skillset I have been working on for a few years as well," she added.

The actor also said that she was into athletics in her growing-up years. "I have always enjoyed physically challenging myself, and Sardar 2 really pushed me in all those directions," she added.

Malavika Mohanan was also asked about her favourite films starring Karthi. In response, she said, "I really like Meiyazhagan. It was so sweet and heartwarming. Such a feel-good film. I also like Paruthiveeran and Madras."

Malavika is really busy with promotions for the film. She started the recent fan interaction on social media before her flight from Coimbatore to Chennai, and she resumed it in her car after reaching the city widely known as the Gateway of South India. During the interaction, she also reminisced about meeting former India and Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni. "I have not met a lot of cricketers. But I met Dhoni about ten years back. I remember him being so grounded, humble and sweet," the actor said.
