With Modha Rathri in August and Dorothy in September, Rishikanth got the breakthrough that he had been working for all these years in the Tamil film industry. While fans and audiences have begun embracing him with love and respect for his performance, the actor is also expected to be getting more film opportunities after the success of the two films.

Meanwhile, in the past two days, some social media users reported that Rishikanth had been missing calls because of his fame and that he even missed the call of director Raja Karuppasamy, who helmed Modha Rathri. The director, however, immediately hit back at the rumours by posting a photo of himself with Rishikanth on his Instagram stories with the hashtag #MarudhuNithisu.

Following the circulation of the news, we spoke to Rishikanth. The actor exclusively opened up with his side of the story. He said, Back when I was just starting out in the film industry, I had posted a photo of myself on Facebook along with my contact information for producers and directors to contact me for opportunities. Now, all these years later, fans have found out my mobile number through that post and have been calling me."

On why he may have missed important calls, he continued, "I receive nearly 300 calls, most of which come in the night. Although I am grateful for all the love, it has become humanly impossible for me to pick every single call. Some of the calls have come from producers and directors, which I have missed. I've been meticulously noting down these numbers and calling them back, one by one. I had no intention to miss anyone's calls."

Rishikanth's first full-fledged role came with Irumbu Thirai in 2018. Some of his popular performances also include Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal, Sevappi, Coolie and Made in Korea, among others.
