Director Adhik Ravichandran is gearing up for his next film with actor Ajith Kumar that is titled Daredevil. Adhik said that Ajith himself suggested the title for the film and that he views it as a tribute to the superstar. "He does such daredevil stunts in cinema with no dupe. He is still a daredevil even in racing," the filmmaker told Behindwoods recently. Besides Ajith, the film's cast includes Sreeleela, Prabhu, Sunil, and Parthiban.

The upcoming film is backed by Ajith's wife Shalini, who makes her debut as a producer under Bravehearts Production. The team initially planned to start shooting the film in Chennai, but the weather conditions in the city have forced them to move it to Hyderabad. Daredevil is set to commence production in Hyderabad from November 12 onwards, and the whole India portions for the film will be shot there.

The upcoming film brings Adhik Ravichandran and Ajith Kumar back together after last year's blockbuster Good Bad Ugly. In fact, Adhik Ravichandran had planned to make it before GBU, but scheduling and budget constraints contributed to the change back to last year's Ajith fanboy vehicle. Interestingly, Adhik also revealed that Daredevil will be in stark contrast to GBU, genre-wise, and will cater to all types of audiences.

On the technical front, it has composer Anirudh, who comes back together with Ajith after Vidaamuyarchi. The technical crew also includes cinematographer Abinandhan Ramanujam, editor Vijay Velukutty, stunt choreographer Supreme Sundar, and sound designer Suren.

The film is set to bring Ajith Kumar back to cinema after a gap of more than a year. His last release is Good Bad Ugly, which hit theatres in April last year and went on to gross around 250 crore at the global box office. Since then, Ajith has been busy with his motorsports commitments.
