Suriya is gearing up for the November 06 release of Scene, directed by Jithu Madhavan in his Tamil debut. Ahead of its release, the actor attended a promotional event for the upcoming film in Dubai on Saturday. At the event, he said that the film “draws a parallel between Kaakha Kaakha and Singam.” It is worth noting that Suriya plays a police officer in Scene, much like the two other films mentioned above. With his statement, the actor seems to suggest that Jithu's film offers a contrast of two different types of cop cinema: one more grounded and realistic, while the other a larger-than-life, mass police film.

At the same time, Suriya has set the expectations straight by saying that his character, Inbaraj, operates at a different level altogether and that the film is incomparable to Kaakha Kaakha and Singam. “There is no comparison between these films,” the actor shared before noting that Scene is a full-on family entertainer.

The upcoming Jithu Madhavan directorial venture is set to mark Suriya's third film this year. Earlier, he tasted major successes in 2026 with films such as Karuppu and Vishwanathan and Sons, each of which has reportedly earned more than 250 crore at the global box office. Jithu Madhavan, too, has made two successful films so far in his career: the 2023 horror-comedy Romancham and the subsequent year's Aavesham. With Scene, audiences expect nothing less than another blockbuster from the actor and the director.

The upcoming film also stars Nazriya Nazim, Naslen, Anandraj, Lal, and social media influencer Raj Priyan. Naslen, too, makes his Tamil debut with the film, which marks Nazriya's first pairing with Suriya. The film is set to hit theatres on the same date as Mookuthi Amman 2, directed by Sundar C and starring Nayanthara.
