On Friday, Shamna Kasim expressed her gratitude to director Nelson, producer Sun Pictures, and composer Anirudh for the opportunity to appear in Jailer 2 in a dance cameo. Appearing in a video on social media, Shamna said that she has long been a fan of Rajinikanth and never imagined being part of a film with the Superstar. "Everyone would like to share screen space with a style icon such as Rajinikanth sir. I never thought that I would have that opportunity," Shamna revealed while mentioning Padayappa as one of her favourite films of the Superstar.

Shamna Kasim is part of the film's special song 'Ala Bolelo,' which features multiple other actors, including Rajinikanth and Suraj Venjaramoodu, in addition to scores of background dancers.

Shamna added that she had been waiting for the film to release to appear in video and thank the audience for embracing her song in it. She revealed that Jailer 2 director Nelson chose her for it. "I must thank Nelson sir a lot, because he pitched me for the song," the actor revealed.

She expressed her delight at being part of such a big-scale project, even more so when the audience celebrates her song in theatres and as the film is raking in millions at the box office. "I never thought that I would be able to do such a good song for three minutes in a big project such as this," the actor added. "We all say that our hard work, prayers, and passion would pay off one day. I am going through such days," the actor added before attributing her Jailer 2 success to the audience's warm reception.

Interestingly, in a recent conversation with Cinema Express, Shamna Kasim revealed that she was pregnant during the shoot of the song—something which she came to know only later.
