For Latha Rajinikanth, the enjoyment of watching a film starring her Superstar husband goes up considerably when she attends a show with scores of fans. Speaking to Sun News at a Jailer 2 screening location, Latha expressed her gratitude to the Superstar's fans for their love and support over the years.

"It is a very special, emotional moment for me. Every time his film releases, there is much of love from so many people, and I take it as a showering blessing. Thank you to everyone for all the enormous love and affection you have shown him for all these years," Latha Rajinikanth shared.

Jailer 2 has opened in theatres to mostly positive reviews from audiences, with many of them praising the film's mass moments and comedy while highlighting the 'peak' first half. Latha congratulated the film's director Nelson, composer Anirudh and the whole team behind Sun Pictures for the positive response.

Latha also said that watching a Rajinikanth film becomes a complete experience when she does it with his loving fans. "Watching it alone does not come close to that experience. When you watch it with such energetic fans, you feel double the energy. It is a matter of great pride," she said while adding that she liked 'everything' in the Jailer sequel.

Jailer 2 also stars the actors from the 2023 first part such as Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, Shivarajkumar, Jaffer Sadiq, and Mohanlal. The new cast additions include Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vijay Sethupathi, SJ Suryah, Hrithik Roshan, Vidya Balan, Jackie Shroff, Apeksha Porwal, Mithun Chakraborty, Anna Rajan, Hakkim Shah, Bagavathi Perumal, Meghana Raj, Shamna Kasim, and Jatin Sarna. Sun Pictures kept Hrithik Roshan's cameo in the film under wraps until release day, and it has received mixed response from the audience. While many viewers appreciated Nelson for maximising Hrithik's screen presence and pairing him with the Superstar, some have criticised it as well.
