Meesaya Murukku 2 has continued its theatrical run into its second week, with the Hiphop Tamizha-starrer adding another Rs 68 lakh to its gross collection on its second Monday. The film has maintained a steady presence at the box office even after completing its second weekend.

On Day 11, Meesaya Murukku 2 collected Rs 68 lakh in gross at the Indian box office, taking its total gross collection to Rs 36.81 crore. Its India net collection currently stands at Rs 31.70 crore. The film recorded an occupancy of 16 percent across 954 shows on Monday.

The film had a strong second weekend, collecting Rs 3.45 crore on Friday, Rs 2.90 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.60 crore on Sunday. However, its collections dipped on Monday, as expected, with the film recording Rs 68 lakh. Meesaya Murukku 2 had collected Rs 23.35 crore during its first week, while its second-week run has now contributed another Rs 13.46 crore in gross collections through Day 11.

Tamil Nadu remains the film's primary market, contributing Rs 33.95 crore to its overall gross, while Karnataka has added Rs 2.21 crore. Kerala and the rest of India have contributed Rs 45 lakh and Rs 16 lakh respectively, with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana accounting for Rs 4 lakh.

The film's box office collection on its second Monday is particularly notable because of it holding steady despite other Tamil releases. Be it Dorothy from the same week or Baththa and Sigma from this week, Meesaya Murukku 2 is proving to be a tough competition for the other films.

Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, who serves as a writer, composer, and lyricist on the film, also directs the film. The cast, which is headlined by Adhi, also includes Ketika Sharma, Chaithra J Achar, Ramya Ranganathan, Baba Baskar, Harshath Khan, Nasser, and Karunaas. The story of the film centres on the struggles of three musicians over different time periods as they fight societal limits to establish their footing.
