Khusbhu, Prabhu Deva condole Singeetham Srinivasa Rao

Khusbhu Sundar and Prabhu Deva took to social media to remember filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, on his passing. The director died, late on Saturday, in Chennai.

"Extremely saddened at the demise of a genius filmmaker, Shri Singeetham Srinivasa Rao gaaru. A man who knew his craft so well but never gloated about it. A simple man at heart with a fantastic sense of comedy. Had the privilege of working with him in one of the best of my career, Michael Madana Kama Rajan. Rest in peace Sir. You have left behind a legacy and large shoes which won't be filled by anyone.. we will miss you. Om Shanthi," wrote Khusbhu through her X handle.

Meanwhile, Prabhu Deva wrote, "Deeply saddened by the passing of legendary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao Garu. Fortunate to have been part of his beautiful film Kaathala Kaathala. His remarkable contribution to cinema will live on forever."

While the late legend made his directorial debut with the Telugu film, Neeti Nijayiti (1972), his Tamil debut came with Dikkatra Parvathi (1974).

Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, who was not only known for making films across a variety of genres, he was also known for his collaborations with Kamal Haasan.

Singeetham Srinivasa Rao was 94, at the time of his passing.
