In December last year, we reported about Jayaprakash, Jayasudha, Gouri Kishan, and Ramzan starring in a JioHotstar series titled Love Always. It was announced at the 2025 JioHotstar South Unbound event, alongside several other series and films. On Thursday, the streaming service provider dropped a poster offering a first look at the characters in the series and confirmed October 30 as its premiere date. The series is directed by Madhumitha, best known for helming the 2019 film KD. It consists of eight episodes, with each episode lasting 30 minutes.

In an exclusive conversation with Cinema Express, Gouri Kishan describes it as "a magical rom-com". Speaking about it, she shares, "This series will definitely take the audience back in time. It’s got magic, madness and a lot of love."

It is worth noting that the poster features Ramzan clad in a shirt with a colour similar to what Jayaprakash's character wears, and that the same applies to Jayasudha and Gouri Kishan's characters. It appears that Gouri and Ramzan play the younger versions of the couple, portrayed by Jayaprakash and Jayasudha.

Gouri Kishan is no stranger to portraying this type of romance onscreen, having made a name for herself among the Tamil audience by playing Trisha's younger version in '96, directed by C Prem Kumar.

Speaking further about the series, Gouri adds, "I had an absolute ball of a time working with director Madhumitha ma’am, who’s supremely confident at what she does, and with such an amazing ensemble cast of wonderful performers. The audience will definitely have a lot of fun watching it."

The cast of Love Always also includes Maya S Krishnan, Sadasivam Suryanarayan, Vetri Kiran, Suraj, RJ Dimple, Hema Srikanth, and Aroul D Shankar, and Pradeep Palli, among others. On the technical front, the series has composer Girish Gopalakrishnan, editor Radha Sridhar, and cinematographer Meyyendiran.
