The makers of Amaran filmmaker Rajkumar Periasamy's upcoming film Om, starring Dhanush and Mammootty in the lead roles, have been sharing videos introducing the characters in the film over the last few weeks. On Tuesday, Dhanush's production banner, Wunderbar Films, revealed that Sreeleela plays a character named Roja in the film. The announcement came with a promo for a song from the film that is dedicated to the actor's character, Roja, and that offers a first look at her. Wunderbar Films promises "a melodious magical" number for the actor from composer Sai Abhyankkar.

"She arrives to light up a bright smile," Wunderbar Films wrote as the caption for the video post, announcing that the full song will be out on Wednesday. Interestingly, the promo also revealed that Sreeleela plays Dhanush's onscreen wife in Om.

Recently, the makers revealed that Sai Pallavi plays a law enforcement officer who investigates a sandalwood smuggling operation in the film. The cast also includes Naseeruddin Shah, who comes back to Tamil cinema after 2000's Hey Ram with the film, and Indrans, among others.

Mammootty plays a character named Burma Karthikeyan, also known as Siya, in the film, which marks his comeback to Tamil cinema after 2019's Peranbu. Reportedly, Siya is an international smuggler and an important figure in organised crime whom Interpol and National Control Bureau investigate. With the film, the 'Mega Star' reunites with Dhanush after their collaboration on 2013's Kammath and Kammath. Dhanush is producing the film as well through his banner Wunderbar Films, alongside Shraddha Agrawal and Azmat Jagmag.

Om's technical team also includes cinematographer Ezhil Arasu K, editor R Kalaivanan, art director A Pannerselvam, and stunt choreographers Yannick Ben and Kecha Khamphakdee. The film is slated for a November 20 release in theatres.
