Pari Elavazaghan's Anbe Diana begins dubbing

In addition to Pari Elavazaghan and Ramya Ranganathan, Anbe Diana also stars Roja Selvamani, Chetan and Parithabangal fame Gopi

We had reported in early this year that Jama fame actor-filmmaker Pari Elavazaghan is helming and starring in Anbe Diana in his sophomore. The latest update from the makers is that the film has entered the dubbing stage. Ramya Ranganathan will star as the female lead in the film.

Making the dubbing announcement with a fun promo, featuring Parithabangal fame Gopi and Pari, the makers revealed that the former is playing a Bengaluru-based Tamil person who speaks in a unique dialect.

While speaking to CE during the launch of the first look, Pari said that the film will feature a peculiar love story between a Telugu boy and an Anglo-Indian girl based in Chennai's Perambur. He elaborated, saying, "I grew up watching films of Bhagyaraj sir and V Sekar sir. They are high on entertainment value, but those are also replete with logic and a lot of takeaways. Superficially speaking, they made comedy films. But they also captured milieus and everyday realities. I have made Anbe Diana be in that league. When I say 'commercial entertainer,' it is not an escape for a film devoid of logic."

In addition to the leads and Gopi, the film also stars Roja Selvamani and Chetan in prominent roles.

The upcoming film is produced by Yuvaraj Ganesan of Million Dollar Studios in association with Sathya Karikalan of Neo Castle Creations. With principal photography for the film being wrapped, it is expected to be released soon in theatres.
