It is well-known that director Pandiraaj is awaiting the release of Parimala and Co, starring Jayaram and Urvashi in lead roles, which marks their reunion after over two decades. In a recent press interaction, the latter complimented the Pasanga filmmaker for having shot the film in a very short time to which Pandiraaj disclosed how he was able to shoot the comedy thriller in just 45 days.

When asked the director about the number of days he took to shoot the film and how he managed it, the director told IANS, "We shot the film in 45 days. If you have to be technical and consider all the double call sheets as two days instead of one, you could say it took us 60 days."

He added, "The credit for being able to shoot this film in such a short time goes completely to my team and to my artistes. All my artistes are one take artistes. So, when you have such artistes, you naturally will be able to complete it swiftly."

The film's title, along with a teaser was revealed earlier this month. It showed the every-family comprising Jayaram, Urvashi, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, and Ananthika Sanilkumar jockingly bickering over how much to pay their househelp. But at the end of the glimpse, it was revealed that the family has committed murder/murders. The film seems to revolve around the predicament the family faces which is expected to be narrated in a humourous and entertaining way. Pandiraaj last made Thalaivan Thalaivii, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen in the lead.

The film also stars Mysskin, Yogi Babu, Sandy, Santosh Sobhan, and Tamilkumaran, among others.

The film has been produced by Lyca Productions, Tamilkumaran Productions and director Pandiraaj's own Pasanga Productions.

Parimala and Co hits theatres on May 28.
