On Tuesday, Shruti Haasan took to her Instagram Stories space and announced that she has adopted a rescued cat. An events coordinator named Jisy Joseph shared the story about the cat before Shruti came to his rescue.
"Ghost aka Aslan. A gorgeous little boy, all of 6 months old, was given up by his family as they didn’t want him anymore. The lady had an allergy since childhood which she realised after purchasing the little boy from a breeder and keeping him for a month. The parent surrendered him to me on 5 April. And today Aslan got adopted," Jisy Joseph wrote.
Sharing pictures featuring Shruti Haasan holding the cat in her arms, Jisy expressed her gratitude to the actor-singer for "adopting this little munchkin!!" The events coordinator added, "I’m happy he has found his forever in you."
Sharing the post on her Instagram Stories space, Shruti wrote, "Adoption is love. One more blessing in my life. Welcome Aslan Haasan to your forever home."
In a recent interview with Sudhir Srinivasan, Shruti revealed that cats taught her "how to give just enough love," "how to land on your feet, no matter what," "how to live on your own timeline" and so forth. Three years ago, she posted a picture featuring her with her rescued cat, Clara. She wrote, "The joy she brings us is so special. Rescues have a beautiful story you can be a part of , Clara was rescued in 2018 along with Cora who chills downstairs. But rescuing these kitties was the best thing ever and although Clara looks so distressed in this picture, I’m so honoured we get to give her our love."
On the work front, Shruti Haasan's upcoming projects include Train with director Mysskin and Vijay Sethupathi and Aakasamlo Oka Tara with Dulquer Salmaan. She is expected to come back for the Salaar sequel and has a special song in Ram Charan's Peddi.
