Recently, we reported about Suriya highlighting his Karuppu co-star Indrans' early struggles and his evolution from an actor playing small roles in ensemble films to a lead actor. The actor has once again spoken highly of his co-star, this time at a promotional event for their upcoming film in Keralam.
Suriya reminisced about his children's reaction when they met the Chennai Super Kings' captain MS Dhoni. He said that his children were acting shy when they met the former India captain. He added that Indrans has a similar, child-like innocence and sense of calmness.
The actor said that, despite his legendary status, Indrans would not bother about whether he has a caravan, whether he has been provided with an umbrella or food, and even whether where he gets to sit somewhere on set.
"However, when he comes for a scene, nobody can beat him. He has abundance of energy, he is a wonder and he surprises you every time, no matter which scene you give him and regardless of the number of take for it," Suriya said about Indrans. The actor also expressed his regret about not having Indrans around for the film's promotions.
In a recent conversation with CE, Indrans, too, spoke highly of Suriya, appreciating his ability as an actor, personal qualities, and boundless energy that keeps his co-stars on their toes. The actor also said that he does not bother about political correctness, especially with regard to topics of discussions such as body shaming. You can read the full interview with Indrans here.
