Actor Ravi Mohan has been conferred with the Devi Ratna Award at the Pallassana Pazhayakavu Sree Meenkulathi Bhagavathi Temple, a famous place of worship in Palakkad. The award is given to eminent personalities for the outstanding contributions that they have made to culture, art, and public life. Ravi Mohan is the fourth recipient of the award, and he has been conferred with it for his performance as Arunmozhi Varman in the Ponniyin Selvan franchise, his contributions to the Tamil film industry and the admiration he has from viewers.
According to a press release, "The award carries a cash prize of ₹1,00,001, along with a golden insignia, citation, and a commemorative plaque." The actor appeared at the temple to collect the award at its event, 'Utsav 2026,' which saw the presence of many politicians and temple authorities, among other eminent personalities.
The actor expressed his gratitude for the award, as well as talking about the cultural legacy of the temple and the Pallassana Pazhayakavu Bhagavathy Devaswom Trust and the spiritual aura he experienced at the place of worship.
Many film lovers, cultural enthusiasts, and devotees from both Tamil Nadu and Kerala attended the event. They were also greeted to a live performance by Ravi's partner Keneeshaa and her band.
On the work front, Ravi Mohan was last seen in director Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi, alongside Sivakarthikeyan, Sreeleela, and Atharvaa. His upcoming projects include Karathey Babu, Genie, and a film formerly titled Bro Code. He is also set to make his directorial debut with a film, titled An Ordinary Man, starring Yogi Babu.
