The timing of Trisha Krishnan’s 43rd birthday couldn’t have been more talked-about. The actor marked her special day on Monday, the same day Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), made a striking electoral debut, prompting friends and members of the film fraternity to tie the two events together in celebratory messages.
Among them, producer Charmme Kaur stirred online chatter by calling Trisha a “lucky mascot” in her birthday post. Sharing a picture with the actor, she wrote, “Special celebrations on your special day. U lucky mascot. This birthday shall be marked as a victory in the books of history and persistence, like I always say, patience. Happiest birthday, my baby girl.”
Actor Lakshmi Manchu echoed the sentiment, hinting at the coincidence between the personal and political milestones. “Happy birthday to the ever-gorgeous and graceful @trishtrashers! What a day to celebrate! I guess the universe decided to give you the best birthday gift with that massive victory! Double celebrations for you today! Have a magical one, darling!” she posted.
Trisha and Vijay’s off-screen equation has been under scrutiny for some time now, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the day’s developments. The duo share a long on-screen history, from Ghilli, Thirupaachi, Aathi and Kuruvi to their recent reunion in Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, where they played a married couple. Trisha also made a cameo appearance in a song in The Greatest of All Time, directed by Venkat Prabhu.
Earlier in the day on Monday, Trisha was seen at the Tirumala Temple, offering prayers in a simple white kurta. Later, she made a quiet visit to Vijay’s Neelankarai residence in Chennai, steering clear of the media gathered outside, even as visuals of Vijay greeting supporters from his balcony circulated widely.
While Vijay has been married to Sankgeeta Sornalingam since 1999 and has two children, ongoing rumours about his alleged closeness with Trisha continue to circulate online, gaining renewed attention in light of the day’s overlapping celebrations.
Vijay secured 108 seats in the elections, with him winning both Trichy East and Perambur. The politician will now have to choose between the two, with a by-election due for the resigned seat. Meanwhile, Vijay needs 11 more seats to prove a majority and form the government.
