Noted actor-politician Khushbu had on Monday warned of a fake account of her husband and popular director-actor Sundar C circulating on social media. After BJP state president Nainar Nagendran tagged Sundar C's unverified account on his X handle while sharing a photo with him, Khushbu reshared the photo, informing social media users that the account was fake. She confirmed that Sundar C was not on any social media platform, while noting that a new one would be created for him with a verified blue-tick symbol.

"This is a fake account of Director Sundar C . He is not not any social media platform as on date. Pls do not follow this or interact on this or any other similar account on any social platform. Shall be creating a new and verified account for him soon," she wrote on her X handle.

Meanwhile, Sundar C is making his entry into politics after three decades in the film industry. He was recently named as the candidate for the Madurai Central constituency for the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections, representing the Puthiya Neethi Katchi (PNK) under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), in alliance with the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). Hence, he will be contesting under AIADMK's 'two-leaves' symbol.

AC Shanmugam, who heads the PNK, along with Sundar C, paid a courtesy visit to Nainar Nagendran to hold discussions regarding the upcoming elections, during which the latter conveyed his best wishes for their success in their endeavours.

On the work front, Sundar C was last seen in Gangers (2025), and is currently engaged in filming of Vishal's upcoming project Purushan, which marks his reunion with the actor after Aambala and Madha Gaja Raja.

He is also set to join hands with filmmaker Dhorai VZ once again for an upcoming horror-thriller. The yet-to-be-titled film will mark their third collaboration after Iruttu (2019) and Thalainagaram 2 (2023).
