Vemal's latest outing in theatres, Vadam, now has an OTT release date. Helmed by Kendhiran V the film also stars Natty Nataraj in the lead role. It hit theatres on March 6 and opened to mixed reviews.
In Vadam, Vemal portrays a villager who trains a one-eyed bull, which makes a strong rival (Natty) envious and sets off a tale of murder, stolen livestock, and retaliation.
Vadam is all set to premiere on Sun NXT on April 3. Touted as a rural entertainer, the film also stars Sanashka Sri, Munishkanth, Aadukalam Naren, Madhusudhan Rao, Deepa Shankar, Bala Saravanan and Indhumathi Manikandan.
On the technical front, the film has music by D Imman, cinematography by Prasanna S Kumar, editing by Sabu Joseph, and stunts by GN Murugan. Rajasekar R has produced the film. Gnanakaravel is credited as the film's dialogue writer and lyricist.
Masani Pictures has backed the film in association with Sri Vetri Vinayaga Pictures and Shayanthra Film Production. Sun Maro Pictures is also involved in the project. Vadam adds to the long list of films set in rural areas starring Vemal, also including Pasanga, Vaagai Sooda Vaa, Kalavani, Desingu Raja, and Mahasenha Volume – 1.
