When musicians start to jam in pursuit of finding new sounds, they often sync up after a while, which is the result of imaginations aligning. In a recent interview with CE, when director Maria Raja Elanchezian was asked about the similarities between the trailers of his debut, Happy Raj, and Pradeep Ranganathan's Love Today, the director, recalled the spontaneous nature of both of them, echoing musicians jamming and brainstorming.

"Pradeep and I have travelled together for five years. All our jamming sessions are like this. It just so happens we our thoughts are very similar. So it is very automatic," shares the director.

Maria had been an assistant of Pradeep Ranganathan, who had written, directed and starred in Love Today (2022). The film also starred Ivana, Sathyaraj, and Radikaa Sarathkumar in the lead.

Meanwhile, Happy Raj, which opens in theatres today, stars GV Prakash Kumar, Sri Gouri Priya, George Maryan, Prathana Nathan, and Abbas.
