While it was earlier announced that Leader, starring Legend Saravanan, will release on April 9, the makers have now opted for an early release. The action drama, directed by Garudan-fame RS Durai Senthilkumar, is set to hit the screens on April 3.

The film has also been rated by the CBFC with a U/A rating. Apart from starring, Saravanan has also produced the film under his Saravana Stores Productions banner. The ensemble cast of the film also includes Shaam, Andrea, Santhosh Prathap, Payal Rajput, Lal, Prabaharan, Amirtha Aiyer, VTV Ganesh, Iyal, Aishwarya, Mariam George, Nisha, and Kathir.

Ghibran is composing music for the film, with lyrics written by Kabilan, Viveka, and Mohan Rajan. The crew of Leader also includes director of photography Venkatesh S, editor Pradeep E Ragav, art director G Durairaj, and stunt co-ordinator Mahesh Mathew.
