Director Aditya Dhar and actor Ranveer Singh's film Dhurandhar: The Revenge has released in theatres to a staggering response from the audience. Some of the major film personalities from across India have been showering the Dhurandhar sequel with effusive praise. The latest to commend the film is R Sarath Kumar.

Taking to X, the actor-politician wrote, "A sensitive subject, the bold narration of untold truth, well scripted, a story of unsung heroes who are unseen and unheard nor decorated or recoganised for their selfless patriotism. This is Dhurandhar."

He added, "My kudos to the entire team headed by Director Aditya Dhar, a fascinating narrative intertwined with real incidents pushed the adrenaline to new heights, Ranveer and team of excellent cast and crew made us glued to the seat till the screen became dark and lights came on."

It is worth noting that Sarathkumar is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). While director Aditya has denied claims about his film pandering to BJP, the party's ideologies, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is full of references that suggest otherwise. While the first film only hints at this, politically neutral and left-leaning audiences allege that the sequel glorifies BJP and Modi to such an extent that makes it a piece of political propaganda.

The film suggests that demonetisation, the initiative taken by Modi's BJP government in 2016, is a masterstroke of a move that significantly impacted terrorism. However, the film's critics allege that the movie overlooks the negative economical impact made by demonetisation in India. On the other hand, its supporters back the idea that demonetisation crippled the financial bedrock of terrorism.

Even as the narrative about the sequel to Dhurandhar rages on, the film is already on its way to becoming a blockbuster.
