Earlier this Thursday, Prime Video announced the list of series and films that are part of its upcoming slate across languages. In Tamil, the upcoming projects of the streamer include Vadhandhi Season 2, which hails from writer-director and creator Andrew Louis and creative producers Pushkar-Gayathri. Vadhandhi Season 2 stars M Sasikumar, Yashwanth, Anagha Maruthora, Aparna Das, Vivek Prasanna, Revathy Sharma, and Arjun Nandhakumar. The streamer has also dropped a clip giving a first look at the characters in the second season of its 2022 series, Vadhandhi. The upcoming season is produced by S Guhapriya, S Nandakumar, and Gowtham Selvaraj under the Wallwatcher Films banner.

The official synopsis of Vadhandhi Season 2 reads thus: "After a punishment transfer to the barren outskirts of Madurai, SI Moosa Raaza closes a high-profile political cold case, only to realize his success may have sent an innocent man to prison for life. To rectify his mistake, Raaza must defy the state and dive back into a labyrinth of buried secrets to save him from a sentence he doesn’t deserve."

Dushara Vijayan's Exam, hailing from creative producers Pushkar-Gayathri themselves, is part of the streamer's upcoming slate as well. The series, written and directed by A Sarkunam, also stars Aditi Balan, Abbas, and Vasundhara Kashyap, among others.

The official logline of Exam reads, "A determined young woman with a mysterious past enters the dangerous world of the Regional Public Service Exam (RPSE) scam to expose a powerful paper-leak network. But as she digs deeper, she uncovers a corruption chain embedded deep within the education system—and must bring it down before it destroys the dreams of an entire generation."

Wallwatcher Films itself is backing this series.

Both Vadhandhi Season 2 and Exam are set to release soon on Prime Video. The series bring Pushkar-Gayathri and Wallwatcher Films back together with Prime Video after Suzhal – The Vortex and its second season and Vadhandhi's first season.
