Vishwanath and Sons teaser: Suriya navigates a complicated romance with Mamitha Baiju in this drama

The first teaser for the Suriya-starrer, Vishwanath and Sons, has been released. The upcoming film also which also stars Mamitha Baiju and Radikaa Sarathkumar among others, is set to release in July.

Written and directed by Venky Atluri, Vishwanath and Sons, is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. The teaser shows Sanjay Vishwanath (Suriya), an Olympian shooter, whose age is affecting his career. But in his middle age, he meets Maddy (Mamitha Baiju), a free-spirited woman, who even with the 20 year age gap between her and Sanjay, wants a relationship with him. The teaser hints at the story being a confluence of Sanjay's professional life and the impact of his personal romantic life.

Raveena Tandon returns to Tamil cinema with the upcoming film, 25 years after her appearance in the Aalavandhan (2001). Vishwanath and Sons also stars Bhavani Sre, Sunil Reddy, Karate Karthi, among others.

GV Prakash Kumar is composing music for the upcoming film, continuing his collaboration with director Venky after Vaathi (2023) and Lucky Bhaskar (2024).

The crew of the film also includes Nimish Ravi as the director of photography, Naveen Nooli as the editor, Banglan as the production designer, V Venkat as the stunt choreographer.

Vishwanath and Sons is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under their Sithara Entertainments banner. Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios are also backing the film. Netflix has bagged the streaming rights for the film.
