Recently, we reported about Suriya's 46th film, directed by Lucky Baskhar fame Venky Atluri, being titled Vishwanath and Sons. The latest development about the project is that its teaser has been slated to release at 04:06 pm on March 16, Monday. The film's producer, Naga Vamsi's Sithara Entertainments banner, made the announcement earlier this Saturday with a new poster. While nobody is visible in the poster, it appears to have partial figures of Suriya and Mamitha Baiju's characters from the film.

Suriya plays a character named Sanjay Vishwanath in the film, and its makers have already revealed that it is inspired by the actor's own Sanjay Ramasamy in his 2005 film Ghajini. Reportedly, the plot revolves around Sanjay (Suriya) and his romantic partner (Mamitha Baiju), who is about half his age.

The makers have described it as a family entertainer. In the latest announcement, they called it "a journey filled with heart."

The film's cast also includes Raveena Tandon, Radikaa Sarathkumar, and Bhavani Sre, among others. A Tamil-Telugu bilingual, it marks Raveena Tandon's comeback to Tamil cinema after 2001's Aalavandhan, co-starring Kamal Haasan.

On the technical front, Vishwanath and Sons has music by GV Prakash, cinematography by Nimish Ravi of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra fame, editing by Naveen Nooli, and production design by Banglan. The film brings Suriya back together with GV Prakash after Soorarai Pottru (2020). It also reunites GV Prakash with Venky Atluri after Vaathi (2023) and Lucky Bhaskar (2024).

Also produced by Sai Soujanya's banner Fortune Four Cinemas, the film is set to release in theatres this July.

Beyond Vishwanath and Sons, Suriya also has Karuppu with RJ Balaji and a film with Romancham and Aavesham director Jithu Madhavan in the pipeline. Also starring Nazriya Nazim and Naslen, among others, the yet-to-be-titled film with Jithu Madhavan will mark Suriya's 47th project in his career.
