Even as an update regarding the release date for Suriya's much-anticipated film Karuppu is awaited, Sai Abhyankkar has shared a new photo, confirming a collaboration with actor Silambarasan. He captioned it with the words, "Blast begins." While the composer-singer did not specify a movie surrounding the collaboration, speculations are rife about the actor lending his voice for an upcoming song in the RJ Balaji-directorial.
The actor seems to have taken time out from the shoot of Arasan to join Sai Abhyankkar for the song, the details of which are currently under wraps. But given Silambarasan's voice, the song is expected to be a mass number, suited for Suriya.
Karuppu also stars Trisha as the female lead, reuniting her with her Aaru (2005) co-star Suriya. Indrans, Mansoor Ali Khan, Natty, Swaswika, Anagha Maya Ravi, Supreeth Reddy, and Sshivada, among others play supporting roles. RJ Balaji will also be seen in a cameo role in the film. It is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures' SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu.
The teaser, which was released in July last year, presented Suriya in a 'mass' avatar. The actor seemed to be playing a lawyer in the film which is set in a rural backdrop. He is looked at as a saviour, an almost deity-like who delivers justice to commonfolk.
Karuppu's technical crew also features cinematography by GK Vishnu, editing by Kalaivanan, art direction by Arun Venjaramoodu, and stunt choreography by Vikram Mor. The project also marks a reunion for Suriya with his NGK producers, as well as RJ Balaji with his Sorgavaasal makers — SR Prabhu and SR Prakash Babu of Dream Warrior Pictures.
