At the recent success meet for Thaai Kizhavi, the lead actor Radikaa Sarathkumar recalled an incident early in her career that led to her introspecting on her career. Thaai Kizhavi, directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, was released theatrically on February 27.

"When I was 25 or 26, my birthday was celebrated on the sets of a film. Among many guests present for the occasion were members of the press. One amongst them said to me, 'Madam tell me your age.' I just looked at him," said the actor at the event.

She added, "First of all, I thought it was very rude to ask a lady her age. But what he thought was that I am hiding my age. Speaking to a person next to him, that man even sarcastically remarked, 'Looks like she is thinking too much over telling her age.' As I was looking at him, I thought, 'Is this the challenge I will face in my life? To prove my age and my beauty?'"

Answering her own question, she said, "No, I don't think that is a challenge for anybody. If everyone proves their own selfs to themselves, that will be enough."

Thaai Kizhavi follows a family who scrambles to find a hidden treasure after the matriarch gets afflicted by an illness. The film also features Singam Puli, Arul Doss, Bala Saravanan, Munishkanth, Ilavarasu, George Maryan, Muthukumar, Raichal Rabecca, among others, in its cast.
