Two weeks after the release of Thaai Kizhavi, the cast and crew of the film have convened for a success meet of the film. Directed by debutant Sivakumar Murugesan, the film stars Radikaa Sarathkumar in the lead, and is produced by Sivakarthikeyan. At the event, Radikaa recalled actor-politician Kamal Haasan's words to her.

"The respectable Mr Kamal Haasan said, 'If the film does not fare well after its release, they will all praise you and your acting. But if this film wins, the director will win. The technicians will win. The supporting cast will win,'" said Radikaa.

She added, "I really thought that it was true. Different directors have arrived and changed cinema in different eras. Be it Sridhar, or K Balachandar, or my guru Bharathiraja, they have changed cinema."

"While the comparisons of Sivakumar with Bharathiraja may arise, it is worth noting that both directors have such a distinct style of working," said Radikaa about the director, while adding, "Sivakumar doesn't speak that much. But I have always wondered the level of deep thought that he has had."

Thaai Kizhavi follows a family who scrambles to find a hidden treasure after the matriarch gets afflicted by an illness. Thaai Kizhavi also stars Singam Puli, Arul Doss, Bala Saravanan, Munishkanth, Ilavarasu, George Maryan, Muthukumar, Raichal Rabecca, among others.

Meanwhile, Sivakumar Murugesan is set to direct Sivakarthikeyan in Seyon, which will be backed by Kamal Haasan under his Raaj Kamal Films International banner.
