Kayal-fame Vincent's and TJ Bhanu's upcoming film, Anthony, is all set to hit theatres on March 13, the makers announced on Tuesday. The film has two filmmakers, namely, Sukirthan Chrithuraja and Jenosan Rajeswar, who have also written it.
The previously released trailer introduced Vincent as the titular character, a fisherman. TJ Bhanu stars as Anthony's wife, and the two tie the knot after falling in love with each other. While Anthony wants only peace, he is troubled by another young fisherman in town, who doesn't know the former's past and why he has chosen this unproblematic way of life. The trailer features visuals from the sea and Sri Lanka in picturesque frames.
A Sri Lankan Tamil film, Anthony also stars Sudharshan Raveendran, Saumi, Nizhalgal Ravi, Aruldoss, Kalaivalari Saga Ramana, Aandavan Kattalai Aravindhan, and Lingeshwaran.
Ilaiyaraaja is the music composer for Anthony, which will also feature cinematography by Rishi Selvam and editing by Suresh A Prasad. The film is backed by Kalaivalari Saga Ramanathas and Suganthini under the Osai Films banner and co-produced by Vijay Balasingam, Sriskandaraja and Vicky under the Kanaa Productions, DreamLine Production and Vijay Films banners.
Anthony will open in theatres alongside Kenatha Kanom, Kolaiseval, Vengeance and Vowels.
