Ravi Mohan's directorial An Ordinary Man, starring Yogi Babu, goes on floors

An Ordinary Man marks the second venture of the actor's namesake studio

Last year, we reported about Ravi Mohan directing a film for the first time under his namesake production banner. Titled An Ordinary Man, the film stars Yogi Babu in the lead role. Earlier this Thursday, Ravi Mohan Studios announced that production on the film has commenced following a traditional pooja ceremony. The banner shared pictures from the ceremony that feature Ravi Mohan, Yogi Babu, and Ravi's singer girlfriend Kenishaa Francis.

Sharing the announcement post, Yogi Babu wrote, "An Ordinary Man begins. Shoot starts today with Pooja for my hero Ravi Mohan sir's first movie, debut directorial."

An Ordinary Man marks the second venture of the actor's namesake studio, the first one being the still-under-production Bro Code (which also stars him in the lead role and whose title is engulfed in a legal tussle). An announcement about the Yogi Babu film coincided with the launch of the studio last year at Chennai Trade Centre.

At the time, Yogi Babu said, "Back when we worked on Comali, Ravi sir and I had a conversation about doing a film. Generally people forget with time. But Ravi sir remembered his promise even after 6 years, and now we're doing An Ordinary Man together."

The makers are yet to reveal further details about the project. It remains to be seen whether Ravi would also star in it. Details about the film's additional cast, genre, and plot also remain under wraps. Interestingly, the studio tagged Kenishaa in the latest announcement post, suggesting her involvement in it as a singer as well.

Ravi Mohan was last seen earlier this year as an antagonist in director Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi, opposite Sivakarthikeyan. The actor earned much appreciation for his performance in the film. He also has multiple other projects in the pipeline, including the long-delayed Genie, Bro Code, and Karathey Babu.
