Actor Shanthnu took to his social media a couple of days after his father, actor-director-writer K Bhagyaraj, passed away, to thank Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay for the latter's help.
Taking to his X handle Shanthnu wrote, "How can I can express my gratitude within 26 or 247 (letters)? This gratitude will stay alive, as long as this physical body is alive. You initiated my happy marriage day by handing over the thali (nuptial thread). I haven't thanked you enough for that, still."
He added, "When the saddest day of my life, my father's passing arrived, you shedded the status that came with your official position, and sat beside my mother to console her, a gesture which moved me."
"State honours! I will remember the honour that you bestowed upon my father, fitting for his name, until the ends of the Earth. What else to say now? Heartfelt thanks Anna," concluded Shanthnu.
Bhagyaraj passed away on June 27 at the age of 73, after suffering from cardiac arrest.
