Back in January this year, we reported that Arulnithi has reunited with director Ganesh Vinayakan for Arulvaan. While the film wrapped production two months ago, a release date has now been announced by the makers.
The film also stars Aarav, Ramya Pandian and Kritika in prominent roles. The first-look poster features Aarav, Ramya and Krithika as a family from a village, while Arulnithi looks like a well-wishing figure. Kaali Venkat and John Vijay will be seen in key roles in the upcoming film.
Arulvaan will open in theatres on July 17. More details about the film's extended cast, genre and plot are yet to be announced by the makers.
Ganesh Vinakayan made his directorial debut with Thagaraaru in 2013, which also starred Arulnithi in his fourth outing. He then helmed Veera Sivaji, starring Vikram Prabhu, in 2016 and a Kannada film titled Hyper in 2018. His latest directorial is the 2021 film Thaen, headlined by Tharun and Abarnathi. Arulvaan marks the director's fifth venture.
Arulvaan is backed by SG Saravanan of 90 Pictures Production Private Limited and co-produced by Subha Saravanan. The film will feature cinematography by M Sukumar, editing by Lawrence Kishore and music composed by GV Prakash. Upon its July 17 release, the film will compete at the box office with Yogi Babu's 300th film Arjunan Per Paththu.
Meanwhile, Arulnithi has two other films in the pipeline apart from Arulvaan. His next is Demonte Colony 3, helmed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, which is scheduled to hit theatres on September 11. He will also share the screen with Mamta Mohandas in My Dear Sister, in which the duo will be seen as siblings. A release date for the film is yet to be set.
On the other hand, Ramya Pandian was recently seen in Charukesi alongside Y Gee Mahendra and Suhasini, while Aarav's last film release was Vidaamuyarchi alongside Ajith last year.
