Radikaa Sarathkumar calls Balan: The Boy one of the most "brilliant" films she has watched

Thanks to the positive reviews, Balan: The Boy is already nearing the Rs 9 crore mark worldwide

Praises have been pouring for filmmaker Chidambaram's latest venture Balan: The Boy since its release a few days ago. Actor-producer Radikaa Sarathkumar has now shared her views on the movie and has heaped praise on it. Calling it one of the best movies she has watched, she said it was a "superbly crafted" film.

"A fantastic film, a must watch film, a film by Chidambaram director of Manjummel Boys superbly crafted film, a class in writing by Jithu Madhavan, with fantastic performances by all. So refreshing and has a world of itself. Hooks from the first frame, the journey of Balan," she wrote and hoped that Balan: The Boy receives all the accolades it deserves.

According to box office tracker Sacnilk, the psychological thriller is already nearing the Rs 9 crore mark worldwide—a strong feat for a film with newcomers in lead roles.

The film tells the story of a boy (Adhisheshan) and his mother (Farzana Palathingal), who confront their past secrets as they go on a quest for truth and redemption. It also has actors Muhammed Zinaan, Dolly June, Jean Paul Lal, Beena Antony, Tovino ThomasPremalu fame filmmaker Girish AD, and so on.

Balan marks the third film in Chidambaram's career. He made his directorial debut with 2021's Jan E Man, featuring actors Basil Joseph, Lal, Arjun Ashokan, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi S Poduval, Sajin Gopu, and Sarath Sabha, among others. The filmmaker followed it up Manjummel Boys, which went on to become a massive hit at the box office.
