Thus, he has become the oldest footballer to score multiple FIFA World Cup goals. Messi's effort has helped Argentina achieve a comfortable 3-0 victory over Algeria. Celebrities from across domains, including film personalities, have responded to the legendary Argentina player's performance in his late 30s.

Karan Aravind Kumar, one of the writers of the recent Suriya starrer Karuppu, shared a Lionel Messi poster on his Instagram Stories and wrote, "Ladies and gentleman, our GOAT is back." For the uninitiated, GOAT refers to Greatest of All Time, a term widely attributed to the little Argentine with nimble feet.
