Writer cum director Sasi reunites with his Pichaikkaran star Vijay Antony with an upcoming film, titled Nooru Sami. Also starring Swasika in an important role, the film is slated to release in theatres on June 19, Friday. Recently, we reported about Jana Nayagan filmmaker H Vinoth commending the film ahead of its release. Now, AR Murugadoss and Karthik Subbaraj have become the latest directors from Tamil cinema to praise it.

In a note shared by producer Vijay Antony Film Corporation, Murugadoss shared, "A heartwarming and emotional story that stays with you. Since it's inspired by a true story, it felt even more special. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, and I believe the audience will connect with it and enjoy too."

Murugadoss recently attended a promotional event for the upcoming Vijay Antony-Swasika starrer where he said that its director Sasi inspired him when he was thinking about quitting his 2001 film Dheena, starring Ajith Kumar. Murugadoss wondered whether the film might even materialise and talked to Sasi about his concerns, and the latter told him to not give up without putting up a fight. "I kept working on Dheena because of Sasi," Murugadoss said.

On the other hand, Karthik Subbaraj described Nooru Sami as "a very heartwarming film with a deeply meaningful message at its core." The filmmaker added, "Once Vijay Antony sir enters the narrative, the film turns very heart touching. As a Sasi sir's fan, idhu oru super aana padam (this is a superb film)."

Vijay Antony, who also backs the film through his namesake banner, expressed his gratitude to both Murugadoss and Karthik for their appreciation of his film.

Nooru Sami also has actors Ajay Dhishan, Lijomol Jose, Karunas, Sakthi, and Kavya Anil in important supporting roles. The cast includes Balaji Sakthivel, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Padini Kumar, Jenson Dhivakar, Bucks, Vinodhini, Thamarai, Kodangi Vadivelu, Muthualagi, Saratha, Sabitha Roy, Abinaya, Moorthy, and Subramania Siva.
