Samyuktha Viswanathan, who plays one of the two female leads in director Aswin Kandasamy's upcoming romantic fantasy drama Double Occupancy (DO), has now expressed excitement over playing the lead in a full-fledged feature film.

Taking to her Instagram page, she wrote, "After a lot of time, patience, struggle, passion and hardwork; now I can finally say I’m being introduced in a full feature film as a ‘lead’, as a ‘heroine’. Little Samyuktha would be proud, and I hope you are too."

Thanking her fans and supporters who have pushed her since the beginning of her career, she added, "The journey to here has been hard, fulfilling, lots of learning, lots of and lots of patience and above all — lots of hope and God’s Grace." She concluded the note saying, "Need your love, prayers and support. Many people to thank, but that’s for later!"

The recently-released trailer of Double Occupancy shows the protagonist, played by Santhosh, leading two lives in one day without him realising it. He is a man from morning six to evening six and a woman (played by Samyuktha) till the next morning. A lot of chaos ensues with his weird condition. How he is affected by it and whether he escapes this crazy cycle is what the film is about. It also stars Reshma Venkatesh, Vinoth Kishan and VTV Ganesh, among others.

Double Occupancy has music composed by Sam CS, camera work by Santhakumar Chakravarthy, and editing by Praveen Antony.

While ACS Arun Kumar produces for Benzz Media, Khushbu Sundar backs the film for Avni Movies. Anandita Sundar serves as the creative producer.

Double Occupancy is set for a release on June 12.
