

Actor-producer-politician Khushbu Sundar along with her husband and noted filmmaker Sundar C recently met CM Vijay to present an invitation for the wedding of her elder daughter, Avantika. The former posted pictures on her social media accounts with their meeting with Vijay and expressed her happiness on the newly-elected Chief Minister taking his time out to meet them amidst his busy schedule.
Calling it a "truly special and memorable day", Khushbu wrote, "We met my dearest brother, our Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Shri Vijay avl, at his residence and extended the invitation for our daughter’s wedding with Shri Shravan Sreenivasan. Seeing him always fills our hearts with pride and happiness. The children were absolutely thrilled and couldn't take their eyes off him."
She thanked him for welcoming them with "warmth, affection, and beautiful smile" that they have always cherished. Khushbu further thanked him for his "precious time, love, and blessings" and noted that it meant "more than words can express."
The politician has been personally meeting several top politicians for the past few days to extend an invitation for her daughter's wedding. The senior BJP leader also invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently after seeing him in Delhi. "The Prime Minister graciously blessed the couple, and we are truly grateful for his time amidst his busy schedule. We feel extremely indebted and humbled. Thank you Pradhan Mantri ji," she wrote. Khushbu joined BJP in 2020 and is currently serving as the vice-president of the party in Tamil Nadu.
Sundar C, who has been active as an actor and as a filmmaker, recently made his foray into politics by contesting in the Madurai Central constituency for the state assembly elections that happened in April. He represented the Pudiya Neethi Katchi (PNK) under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), in alliance with the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). However, he faced a defeat and finished in third place with 33,538 votes. The seat was won by the TVK candidate, Madur Badruddin, while the DMK candidate, Tyagarajan, came in second.
Meanwhile, Avantika Sundar is making her acting debut with the upcoming Malayalam film Aarambham. Directed by Sujesh Annie Eapen, it features her in the lead role as Arathi.
