Actor-director Raghava Lawrence took to social media to address the rumours surrounding his entry into politics. While the actor did not dispel the rumours, he has hinted at a big announcement, which is to be made on June 11.
"Hi everyone, News about me contesting in Trichy East election has been circulating across various media platforms. All my Media friends have been reaching out to me over phone and requesting to meet me asking for clarification. Since the speculation has grown to a point where I feel I should address it, I wanted to share this note," wrote the actor on his X handle.
He added, "I’m currently busy shooting for Benz, and my schedule ends on 10th. With my mother’s blessings, An important decision regarding my life will be announced on 11th, Thursday at 9:30 am."
Benz is an action film which stars Raghava Lawrence in the titular role. Directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, the film is the latest instalment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which consists of films directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, viz, Kaithi, Vikram, Leo. Lokesh is also producing the film.
The cast of Benz includes Nivin Pauly, Ravi Mohan, and Samyuktha. Sai Abhyankkar is composing music for the film.
