With Jason Sanjay's debut directorial Sigma, featuring Sundeep Kishan in the lead, all set for release in theatres in a month, the makers released the film's first single on Thursday. Titled 'Sigma Style', the song is a rap number with plenty of energetic beats. But that was not was caught fans' eye.

'Sigma Style' had youth-focussed lyrics and also featured a Rajinikanth dialogue in it. "Vazhi Thani Vazhi, Andha Aandava En Pakkam," it said. However, a line that seemingly hinted at Jason Sanjay's take on politics became a talking point on the internet. "Padhavi Mel Aasai Illa, Porul Pathu Viral," it said, which many deduced as his own words, emphasising his disinterest in securing a political/top-level position for himself.

Some had also pointed out how Jason had recreated a scene from his father and current Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu's film Pokkiri (2007) where he is standing with a mugshot board of his name.

Besides composing the song, Thaman S has also sang it with Smile Tupakeys and Mc Rude. A Telugu version of the song is also available on YouTube.

The ensemble cast of Sigma includes Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, Sampath Raj, Kiran Konda, and Magalakshmi Sudharsanan, along with several cameo appearances.

According to the makers, it is a "high-stakes heist" film, offering a combination of action, humour, heist, and treasure-hunt elements. Production on Sigma has been wrapped in locations such as Chennai, Thalakona, Thailand, and Salem.

Sigma’s technical crew features music composer Thaman, cinematographer Krishnan Vasant, editor Praveen KL, and art director Benjamin M. The film is slated to release in theatres on July 31.
