Earlier this Thursday, actor Kavin revealed that he has become a father of two. Taking to X, he shared, "With hearts full of gratitude, we thank God for blessing our lives with double the joy. We have been blessed with a baby boy and a baby girl." The news comes around two weeks before the release of his next film, Hi, co-starring Nayanthara and directed by Vishnu Edavan.

Kavin has been married to Monica David since August 2023, and she is a school teacher by profession. The two dated for a long time before getting hitched.

Responding to the news, actor Sanam Shetty congratulated him and added, "God bless your beautiful family." On the other hand, director Vignesh Shivan shared, "Sooo beautiful. God bless you." Actors Ananth Ram and Manjima Mohan, social media influencers, many others from the entertainment industry, and fans wished the actor on being a father.

Kavin had his first noteworthy television appearance with the series Kana Kaanum Kaalangal on Vijay TV. Later, he landed small characters in films such as Karthik Subbaraj-Vijay Sethupathi's Pizza (2012) and the Vishnu Vishal starrer Indru Netru Naalai (2015). Subsequently in 2017, the actor had his breakthrough role in Sathriyan. That said, he earned greater name and fame with a stint on Bigg Boss Tamil on Vijay TV. The actor then landed his first film in a lead role, Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma (2019), and earned greater appreciation for his performance in Dada (2023).

In 2021, he also worked under director Nelson for the film Doctor, starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role.

The actor was most recently seen in Mask. His next film, Hi, is set for an August 14 release. His upcoming projects include one film with director Praveen Paramasivam as well as another, co-starring Priyanka Mohan and Sandy Master.
