Composer-actor GV Prakash Kumar has announced a new collaboration with Sony for the upcoming superhero film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The film is set to open in theatres on July 30.

GV Prakash took to social media to announce that he is composing a 'Spider-Man Anthem', which will release on Monday, July 27. While further details about the song are yet to be released, it is worth noting that prior to GV Prakash's collaboration with Marvel, his uncle, composer AR Rahman had composed a 'Marvel Anthem' for Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is written and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who haas previously directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Wonder Man. Tom Holland returns as the titular superhero for the film, which is described as the first of a new trilogy.

The cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day also includes Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, who are returning as MJ and Ned Leeds, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Michael Mando as Scorpion, Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher. Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, Liza Colon-Zayas are also part of the film.
