Vijay's heroines in cinema have been sharing behind-the-scenes stills from their films and posting emotional notes, bidding farewell to their favourite co-star, following the release of his last film, Jana Nayagan. The latest to do so is actor Swathi, who starred with Vijay in 1995's Deva and the subsequent year's Vasantha Vaasal and Selvaa. Taking to her Instagram account, the actor wrote, "A treasured throwback with Thalapathy Vijay. Found these beautiful memories while going through my old photo album. Some moments truly remain timeless. My first hero, Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay." It is worth noting that Swathi made her acting debut with a role opposite Vijay in Deva.
"From my very first film with you to Jana Nayagan, your final film journey—my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for its grand success," Swathi shared.
The actor also expressed her feelings about watching Vijay's journey from his beginning in cinema to becoming Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister. "Watching your incredible journey from a beloved actor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister has been truly inspiring. Your success is a reflection of your hard work, perseverance, and determination. Despite countless challenges, you never gave up, and today you’ve achieved an extraordinary milestone."
The actor opined that Vijay has set an example by transitioning from cinema to public service. "On screen, you were a complete entertainer. Now, by dedicating yourself to serving the people, you’ve embraced an even greater responsibility. Excelling in both cinema and public service is no easy feat. From reel hero to real-life leader, you’ve set an inspiring example."
She added, "Hearty congratulations on this remarkable achievement, CM Sir. Wishing you success in this new chapter of your life." Swathi ended her post by expressing her wish to meet CM Vijay in the near future. Here is her full note:
