It's Vijay's last film in theatres and not just fans, but celebrities from the entire Tamil film fraternity are celebrating the occasion by making a mandatory first day visit to theatres to catch the actor-turned-Chief Minister's Jana Nayagan on the big screens.

Actor Trisha, who has worked with Vijay in hit films like Ghilli, Leo and GOAT, visited Rohini Theatres where much of the fanfare is taking place, to watch the film. Before Trisha, her mother Uma Krishnan made an entry to the same theatre. Keerthy Suresh, who has always expressed her admiration for Vijay and worked with him in Bairavaa and Sarkar, went to Vettri Theatres, to catch a show with her husband Antony Thattil. Mamitha Baiju, who played Vijay's daughter in Jana Nayagan was also present in the same venue. Seeing this, Keerthy appreciated Mamitha for her role and performance. Hours earlier, Anirudh too visited the same theatre to watch the film.

Trisha has been in the news recently with rumours regarding her personal relationship with Vijay frequently dominating social media. Trisha’s presence at Vijay’s side during key political moments and a private wedding had captured public interest, leading to massive speculations.

Meanwhile, celebrations are expected continue through the week for the Vijay-starrer which also stars Pooja Hegde, and Bobby Deol, alongside Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain and Priyamani. The film is backed by Venkat K Narayana of KVN Productions, in its foray into Tamil cinema.

A partial remake of 2023 National Award-winning Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari, headlined by Nandamuri Balakrishna, it follows a former police officer who raises the daughter of a deceased friend and encourages her to overcome childhood trauma and pursue a career in the Indian Army. Jana Nayagan is first of his films to be released after he assumed office as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
