Vishnuu Vishal's Gatta Kusthi 2, which has been receiving positive reviews since its release, has become a major successful venture for the actor as well as director Chella Ayyavu. The sports comedy entertainer is inching towards the Rs 50 crore mark worldwide despite stiff competition from other films and is continuing to draw audiences to theatres. Now, the Aaryan actor has gifted his director with an expensive present that honours their friendship and bond that they carry.
In a heartfelt X post, Vishnuu wrote, "For the last 11 years, you've stood by me through every high, every low, and everything in between.. Your loyalty, belief, and friendship have meant more than words can ever express. Enjoy the ride.. You truly deserve it." The post was accompanied by a video where Vishnuu was seen praising Chella Ayyavu for standing beside him through thick and thin. Later, he was seen taking him to surprise him with a brand new Toyota Hycross car, fulfilling a pre-release promise in recognition of the film's blockbuster performance.
Vishnuu has also produced the film under the Vishnu Vishal Studioz banner, along with Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International. Recently, Ishari Ganesh presented Vishnuu Vishal with a BMW 3 series car during the thanksgiving meet of the film. Chella Ayyavu was gifted with a 10 g gold chain and bracelet while the rest of the artists received 40 g silver coins each.
Gatta Kusthi 2, which is currently running in theatres, sees the return Aishwarya Lekshmi as Keerthi and Vishnuu as Veera. Kaali Venkat, Karunaas and Munishkanth have reprised their roles along with Lizie Antony, Gajaraj and Sreeja Ravi. Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu are the newcomers to the sequel. Karunakaran, Mokksha and child actor Zara Zyanna are also part of the film.
In the sequel, Veera keeps his promise to support Keerthi's wrestling career, becoming a house husband while she pursues her dreams. Their differing parenting styles and concerns over their daughter Mathi Malar's future strain their marriage, forcing Keerthi to sacrifice her career. As their relationship falls apart and divorce looms, the family must confront what truly matters.
